Can I use a fabric protector or other cleaning products?Updated a month ago

You don't need to worry about applying a fabric protector the moment your modular arrives. All of our fabrics come with a water-resistance treatment already applied, so it’s ready for lounging right out of the box.

If you need to clean a spot, always follow the care label first. We recommend using a mild detergent mixed with clean, cold water. Apply it in gentle circular motions and then use a dry cloth to blot out the water. Be sure to avoid enzyme cleaners or any solutions containing optical brighteners, as these can be a bit too harsh for the fibers.

It is important to keep in mind that water-resistance treatments aren't permanent. They naturally lose effectiveness over time, usually over 12 to 18 months, and with each wash. Since this is considered normal wear and tear, it isn’t covered under warranty.

When you feel it’s time to retreat your modular, please keep in mind that we don’t recommend one specific brand of fabric protector. Since we can't be sure how different treatments will react with our custom textiles, it is imperative that you test any product on a hidden area first. Always follow the specific application instructions on the bottle to ensure the best results.
